The Faculty of Distance Education and Secondary Higher Education was created on the basis of the transformation of the Institute of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan into the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan from March 29, 2020, No. 1463.

The Faculty of Distance Learning and Secondary Higher Professional Education trains specialists on the basis of contracts. For more than ten years, the Faculty of Second Professional Education has been training high-level specialists in demand in the field of public administration. The presented range of specialties and areas of training combines managerial, economic, legal education that is necessary for modern specialists in the field of state and municipal administration, market economy, interaction between the state and civil society institutions.

What is the reason for the desire of people to get one more, and possibly more than one higher education?

The acquisition of a second higher education is due to the influence of time, the modern need for professionals capable of effectively solving problems in related fields of activity. That is why the training at the faculty is based on the practical orientation of training, which implies the active mastering by students of theoretical knowledge and skills of their practical implementation in the field of professional activity.

What are the areas of training at the faculty?

This year we are admitting to the following areas:

“Public administration”;

“Public administration and rights”;

“Personnel management”;

“Political management”;

“Public administration and economics”;

“International relations”.

How is distance education applied at the faculty of second professional education?

Here, learning using distance learning technologies is gaining momentum. Here the specificity that we are talking about is expressed – this is an extramural form of education, these are adults who have a certain job, and distance learning gives them the opportunity to receive the entire volume of knowledge in a freer schedule.

The faculty is already attended by adults who are interested in improving and acquiring new qualifications. For them, training is not only gaining knowledge, it is the prospect of professional and career growth, effective employment. To be successful, you need to be a specialist in various fields: you need management skills, economic and legal knowledge. Therefore, our students have a higher motivation to study, respectively, it is easier for them to organize themselves for independent study.

The students of the faculty are not only yesterday’s graduates, but also people who have already taken place in their profession – representatives of state and municipal authorities, heads of structural divisions, military personnel. The faculty has implemented an individual approach and development at the faculty of distance learning technologies. The official activity of many of them does not always allow starting the session on time. It is precisely distance technology that allows you to set a more flexible, individual schedule.
At the moment, the faculty has 1124 students.
