THE MEETING BETWEEN THE RECTOR OF THE ACADEMY OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION UNDER THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN AND REPRESENTATIVES OF AMERICAN COUNCILS FOR INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

On April 15, 2021, at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the rector of the Academy, Gafurzoda Abdukhalil Davlatali, met with Jace Livingston, Executive Director of the American Councils for International Education and Matluba Mamadzhanova, the local director of the American Councils for International Education.

 

American Councils for International Education is an organization dedicated to educational, professional, cultural, language exchange, educational development, and research.

 

The Council, through UniCEN, has created a network of more than 100 Central Asian universities through which higher education institutions can improve their knowledge about U.S. higher education practices and implement action plans for partnerships with US higher education institutions.

 

UniCEN is a platform that fosters close collaboration between US and Central Asian higher education institutions and develops professional knowledge and skills in strategic planning, administration, policy and practice, faculty exchange, curriculum development, and alumni relations for mutually beneficial partnerships.

 

Rector of the Academy, Professor Gafurzoda A.D. greeted the guests and thanked them for their visit to the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

 

During the bilateral meeting, the parties expressed their hope for the beginning and expansion of cooperation. The guests had noted that in the process of close cooperation, the Academy will establish partnerships with US higher education institutions through UniCEN. Universities are provided with opportunities to improve scientific and professional knowledge, develop joint educational programs, conduct the joint research, exchange teachers, experts and students within the framework of a joint partnership.

 

And also, the Academy will have the opportunity to expand its educational activities at the international level, to attend in foreign educational programs with various scientific, cultural and linguistic aspects.

 

During the meeting, the guests visited the building of the Academy, including the SCO Center of Friendship and Cooperation in Tajikistan, a conference hall, classrooms, a science and art library, and a technology park of the Academy.

 

At the end of the meeting, the Executive Director of the American Councils for International Education, Jace Livingston, thanked the leadership of the Academy for the warm welcome and noted that this meeting gives impetus to the development and strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Academy and the American Councils.
